Georgia Department of Public Health Finds SunBridge for Griffin "Deficiency-Free"
Contact: Patsy Arline (770) 227-8636
May 1, 2008 (Griffin, GA) - The Division of Public Health, in its recent survey of SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation for Griffin, found the nursing care center to have no citations giving it an overall deficiency-free rating. A citation is a term used by state surveyors when they deem a nursing center not in compliance with federal regulations as mandated by the Center for Medicare Services. Nursing centers are evaluated in two categories: operational and patient and include everything from quality of care to safety and food service. Regulations require each Georgia nursing home to be surveyed to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. This survey process consists of a thorough, unannounced investigation of nursing home centers across Georgia. According to AHCA, only eight percent of nursing homes nationwide earn this distinction and on average nursing centers receive seven citations during a survey visit.
"Earning these superior survey results from the agency that governs our business is a testimony to the hard work our team performs throughout the year. As an administrator, I credit the work of our committed team of caregivers," says Patsy Arline.
SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation for Griffin is operated by SunBridge Healthcare Corporation.
SunBridge Healthcare Corporation is headquartered in Irvine, California, and is among the nations largest nursing home companies. SunBridge and its affiliates together operate 213 long-term and postacute care facilities.
